Because of our beliefs, we do not really celebrate Halloween. So in lew of that, we will have a costume party to see how creative our students can be. Kids can friends but, bring only two friends. It will be held on Friday, October 31, 2008. We will start at 6PM and go until 8PM. Everyone must bring a dish of FOOD. No alcohol. parents MUST STAY and participate. It is a family event and not a babysitting party. If you want to just drop off your children, there will be a $20 a child charge for watching them. Hopefully this will discourage any children from getting dropped off and encourage parents to stay and have fun too! See you here at the school. Be prepared to have fun!

Reaction versus reflex...
Gladwell, the author of the new book 'blink' has released a book called 'Blink'

Does this relate to hapkido training in any way:
2. How can thinking that takes place so quickly be at all useful? Don't we make the best decisions when we take the time to carefully evaluate all available and relevant information?
Certainly that's what we've always been told. We live in a society dedicated to the idea that we're always better off gathering as much information and spending as much time as possible in deliberation. As children, this lesson is drummed into us again and again: haste makes waste, look before you leap, stop and think. But I don't think this is true. There are lots of situations--particularly at times of high pressure and stress--when haste does not make waste, when our snap judgments and first impressions offer a much better means of making sense of the world.
