Thursday night proved to be another night of real world applications. Students pushed each other to find the weakness in each others technique by "challenging" their effectiveness and students proficiency. Of course there is the issue of keeping students from injuring each other so they can stay healthy and train. That is the reason they are there, to train. The two main reasons that students tend not to train to their full potential as I note in my book, "The fear of getting hurt and the fear of hurting others". You have to learn to take it if you dish it out. Trying to only be the defender is not being a harmonious part of the school. In essence, the attacker is teacher to the defender which is a higher position. It shows the defender where the holes in their technique are and how to fix them is information provided by the instructor. It is also a humble position to place yourself in. Humility comes before honor does.
